(March 25, 2002) The Instant Web Companies, a combination of printing, envelope conversion and mailing services companies, has increased its LED and MICR capacity by more than 30% to meet growing customer demand for Instant Webs integrated solutions. The foundation of the expansion is the installation of Océ PageStream 530 Plus equipment which includes the fastest, most powerful controller of its kind, expanding functionality, speed and performance for Instant Webs sophisticated direct mail client base. After evaluating a number of solutions to increase capabilities while reducing cycle time and cost, we selected the Pagestream 530, said Don Brady, Instant Web, vice president-product and process development. In addition to paper-handling flexibility, the new equipment also supports quick change developer station (QCDS) technology. This will allow Instant Web to switch out the standard developer station and print MICR, providing additional functionality with minimal set-up time for clients.
