a new white paper titled, Building a Future for the US Postal Service
(USPS) in the 21st Century.
The USPS is projecting a loss of $1.5 billion in fiscal year 2002 as
mail volume continues to decline and delivery points increase. In fact,
USPS projects mail volume to decrease by some six billion pieces in 2002
while delivery points in 2001 increased by more than 1.7 million. The
white paper addresses how the current postal situation developed and whats
being done to help the ailing institution become a healthy, viable postal
system once more.
