IWCO Publishes White Paper Regarding Future of US Postal Service in the 21st Century

Document outlines issues surrounding decline in mail volume and addresses efforts to secure the future of the USPS

Chanhassen, MN (June 11, 2002) — The Instant Web Companies (IWCO), a printing, envelope conversion and mailing services firm, has published a new white paper titled, “Building a Future for the US Postal Service (USPS) in the 21st Century.”

The USPS is projecting a loss of $1.5 billion in fiscal year 2002 as mail volume continues to decline and delivery points increase. In fact, USPS projects mail volume to decrease by some six billion pieces in 2002 while delivery points in 2001 increased by more than 1.7 million. The white paper addresses how the current postal situation developed and what’s being done to help the ailing institution become a healthy, viable postal system once more.
